    • Marshall had surgery on his foot...

Marshall had surgery on his foot in March, but he should still be ready for training camp, Vic Lombardi of CBS Denver reports.

Analysis: Marshall missed the final two games of the 2014 regular season with a sprain in the Lisfranc area of his right foot. He was able to return for a playoff loss to the Colts, but the injury was apparently serious enough to require surgery. IDP leaguers will want to keep an eye on the Denver linebacking corps, as Danny Trevathan (knee) is also looking to bounce back from an injury. Trevathan had a tremendous breakout season in 2013, while Marshall did the same in 2014. If both guys are healthy to work alongside Von Miller, the Broncos will have arguably the league's best collection of linebacker talent.

Trevathan (knee) said he is 100 percent healthy, the Broncos' official website reports.

Analysis: Trevathan suffered a knee fracture during training camp, and while he returned for Week 5, he only played three games before re-injuring his knee. He recently admitted that he probably rushed back from the injury, but he seems to be back at full health for team-organized workouts. Assuming no setbacks, the 25-year-old Trevathan should bounce back to his 2013 breakout form, making him an intriguing target in all IDP formats. He finished the 2013 season with 129 tackles (88 solo), four forced fumbles, three interceptions, two sacks, a fumble recovery and 10 passes defensed.

Ryans (Achilles), who agreed to a two-year contract with the Eagles in March, said he will definitely be ready for the start of training camp, CSN Philadelphia's Reuben Frank reports.

Analysis: Given that Ryans suffered a torn Achilles in November, it would be premature to assume he'll be ready for training camp. Still, his optimism is a good early sign, and it won't be surprising if he's back at full strength by Week 1. Of course, Ryans' days as a useful IDP may be over, as the Eagles now have Mychal Kendricks and Kiko Alonso on the roster. Ryans won't necessarily be a starter, and even if he is, he may come off the field for passing downs.

Posluszny signed a one-year extension with the Jaguars on Thursday, the Jacksonville Sun Times reports.

Analysis: The extension, which will keep the productive linebacker in Jacksonville through the 2017 season, will result in a slight pay cut, though Posluszny will receive more guaranteed money. The 30-year-old signed a six-year, $45 million contract with the Jaguars in 2011.

    • The NFL issued a statement...

The NFL issued a statement Thursday relaying that effective Friday, Peterson will be reinstated as an active NFL player.

Analysis: Upon his reinstatement, Peterson -- who was suspended without pay this past November for the remainder of the 2014 NFL season for violating the NFL Personal Conduct Policy -- will be permitted to participate in all scheduled activities with the Vikings. Peterson is under contract with the team this coming season for a base salary in the neighborhood of $13 million, but at this stage it remains to be seen if he will remain with the Minnesota organization. While the Vikings have indicated that they would like the running back to play for the team in 2015, Peterson's agent has said his client doesn't want to play for the Vikings. Minnesota has voluntary workouts that begin Monday and OTA's on May 28, but Peterson doesn't need to show up until a June 18 mandatory minicamp. Peterson's decision to return to the Vikings could drag into June if he's not traded before the NFL Draft.
