Pierre-Paul (hand) suffered some burns and is being evaluated for nerve damage in his fingers, Dan Graziano of ESPN New York reports.

Analysis: Pierre-Paul hurt his hand in a fireworks accident Saturday night, and there's been some speculation that this could be a career-threatening injury. It sounds like the issue isn't quite that serious, but the timing is still rough for Pierre-Paul, who has yet to sign his franchise tender. If the injury puts his Week 1 availability in to question, the Giants might opt to withdraw the contract.

With Antonio Gates suspended for the first four games of the season, there should be plenty of slot snaps available for Johnson, NBC San Diego reports.

Analysis: Antonio Gates and Eddie Royal were the Chargers' main slot threats last season, with Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd doing most of the work on the outside. Royal jumped ship to sign with the Bears, and Gates was talking about a reduced role even before he was suspended. Johnson is unlikely to match his production from the days when he was Buffalo's go-to option, but this is the best situation he's been in since 2012. He'll get most of the slot snaps in three-wide sets and has the size to work outside.

Robinson is recovering from a partially torn pectoral muscle suffered in early June, Ben Goessling of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis: Robinson's health concern stems from a practice prior to the Vikings' minicamp last month, which places his status in some doubt for training camp at the end of July. If he's at all hindered to start the season, first-round pick Trae Waynes is poised to move up the depth chart and potentially be an every-down starter from Week 1.

Quarless was arrested in Miami on Saturday morning on a charge of discharging a firearm in public, the Miami New Times reports.

Analysis: According to a police report cited by the Miami New Times, Quarless is accused of firing a gun twice -- once in the air, and once in an unspecified but seemingly target-less direction -- around 5:30 am. The other details are less clear, but the report cites a parking attendant's claim that Quarless fired the gun from his Porsche during a conflict with a group of women in a nearby car. The attendant quoted one of the women as yelling "No, get away, leave me alone," though Quarless is not yet accused of doing anything aside from firing the gun. Still, this is a bizarre incident that could reveal something worse yet, so Quarless' standing with Green Bay is on notice for now.

    • Robinson said he isn't worried about...

Robinson said he isn't worried about the Saints' investments in fellow running backs Mark Ingram and C.J. Spiller, ESPN.com reports.

Analysis: The departure of Pierre Thomas briefly opened up a potential path to more touches, but the Saints then signed C.J. Spiller to a four-year contract, in addition to bringing back Mark Ingram. Spiller figures to be heavily involved as a receiver and passing-down back, with Ingram likely getting most of the carries and goal-line work. Robinson may be third on the depth chart, but he'll have a significant role if Ingram can't stay healthy. An injury to Spiller probably wouldn't provide the same boost, as Robinson's skill set is much more similar to Ingram's.
